The-Muscle-Car-Is-Being-Reborn-in-The-2026-Dodge-Charger.jpg

Critics have been writing obituaries for the muscle car for years. Dodge’s answer? “Hold my burnout.” Since its debut in 1966, the Charger has been one of the loudest ways of saying rules are meant to be broken. Now, the newest model picks up that legacy with fresh muscle.

At the heart of the 2026 Dodge Charger’s rebirth is its all-new SIXPACK engine. This 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six is proof that gasoline power is far from dead, delivering serious horsepower and torque plus that unmistakable grin-inducing growl. Whether you go for the R/T or the Scat Pack, this one’s going to give you more muscle for your money than anything else on the road. And, the order books are open. The smoke is waiting. America’s muscle car is back!

The Gasoline-Powered 2026 Dodge Charger

While other automakers are pulling the plug on gas, Dodge is leaning in. The new Next-Gen gasoline-powered SIXPACK comes in two tunes: Standard Output for the R/T at 420 horsepower, and High Output for the Scat Pack at a whopping 550 horses. Both versions come standard with all-wheel drive for everyday grip, but of course, Dodge being Dodge, they couldn’t resist adding a rear-wheel-drive mode. Flip the switch and 100% of that torque heads straight to the back tires for burnouts and drifts, or a good old-fashioned donut session at the track.

All SIXPACK variants will utilize an eight-speed automatic transmission, and both the Scat Pack and R/T will be available as two-door coupes and as four-door sedans.

Charger R/T (SIXPACK S.O.)

The R/T is the entry point into the new Charger lineup, but “entry” doesn’t mean tame. Its Standard Output makes 420 horsepower, putting it ahead of most rivals right out of the box. It also gets the same AWD/RWD trick system, Line Lock, Launch Control, and snarling active exhaust as the Scat Pack. For under $50,000, it’s the most horsepower-per-dollar muscle car you can buy.

The 420-horsepower 2026 Dodge Charger R/T AWD is available at a starting U.S. MSRP of $49,995, the most standard horsepower of any muscle car.

Charger Scat Pack (SIXPACK H.O.)

The Scat Pack turns the wick all the way up with the High Output version of the SIXPACK, pumping out 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. It’ll rocket from 0–60 in about 3.9 seconds and run the quarter mile in the low 12s. And thanks to two turbochargers feeding that engine up to 30 psi of extra pressure, it’s the most powerful car on sale under $55,000.

To handle that extra muscle, the Scat Pack adds on Brembo six-piston front brakes and a performance hood with SIXPACK branding, 20-inch Diamond Cut Luster wheels, plus a gloss black rear spoiler.

The all-new turbocharged 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack is the most powerful car customers can buy priced less than $55,000.

Muscle That Looks the Part

Don’t expect the Charger not to wear its attitude on its sheet metal. A performance hood stamped with its branding sets the tone, while the wide stance makes it the broadest car in the industry. An available Blacktop Package brings in the menace, with the Scat Pack adding a gloss black spoiler to finish the look. Also available in eight eye-catching colors, there’s a shade for every kind of muscle-car statement.

Muscle That Feels The Part

Dodge didn’t stop with the exterior. The cabin is driver-focused and extremely modern, with features like:

  • Ambient “Attitude Adjustment” lighting
  • 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen
  • 10.25-inch digital cluster (up to 16-inch available)
  • Leather and suede performance interior
  • Heated steering wheel + ventilated seats
  • Wireless phone charging
  • Premium Alpine audio

Muscle used to mean rattling dashboards and minimal frills, but now it feels like luxury without sacrificing any force. Check out the interior of the gasoline-powered 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK here, then call us when you’re ready to take yours for a test drive!

The Future of EV is The Charger Daytona Scat Pack

If gasoline isn’t your thing, Dodge has another one coming with the 2026 Charger Daytona Scat Pack. Inside, it’s got high-back leather seats, mood lighting, a giant 16-inch digital cluster, and a power hatch for your Costco runs. Priced from $59,995, it’s the quickest, most powerful muscle car in the world for under $60K.

  • 670 horsepower
  • 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds
  • ¼ mile in less than 12 seconds
  • EPA range of 265+ miles

And because Dodge refuses to let muscle go silent, the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust pipes add a synthetic growl into the cabin so it still feels like a Charger. A functional R-Wing aero passthrough up front adds some style with a purpose, and with the optional Track Pack added on, you’ll get an even sharper performance profile.

Which 2026 Dodge Charger Is Right for You?

  • R/T → Entry-level gasoline muscle with the most standard horsepower under $50K.
  • Scat Pack (SIXPACK H.O.) → Maximum gas performance under $55K.
  • Daytona Scat Pack BEV → Top power, most advanced tech, under $60K.

Test Drive the Rebirth of Muscle

The 2026 Dodge Charger proves the muscle car isn’t just alive. It has evolved. The SIXPACK models give you the gasoline-edged raor and attitude you expect from Dodge, while the Daytona points to the future with crazy max horsepower. Any way you choose, Dodge has made sure the Charger stays what it’s always been: unapologetically loud and furiously fast.
